Simply Decadent by Calista Fox

Cassandra Valentine may have a romantic name, but romance is the farthest thing from her mind. Until
sexy Seth Bryant whisks her away for a decadent weekend.
Seth is determined to win Cass over—body, heart and soul. He doesn’t want to tame her free spirit or
keep her from fulfilling her career aspirations; he simply wants to flip-flop her all-work-no-play
mentality for two days, to show her that their romance—and his love—can be an enhancement, not an
impediment, to her life. And with the help of some pleasure-inducing props from Savannah’s most
talked about boutique, he just might succeed…
Cass is ambitious and career-oriented. She’s also a control freak… Can she let go of the reins long
enough to see that nothing about Seth’s love could ever hold her back—and that maybe, together,
they just might fulfill even greater dreams?
NEW EXCERPT (8-15-08):
She laughed softly. “I never really thought of you as a 'stop and smell the roses’ kind of guy.”
“Life’s not all about work, Cass.” How many times had he said that to her in the two years they’d
known each other? Would she ever believe it the way he did?
Stepping away from her, Seth bent to sniff a red rose in full bloom. Plucking one of the petals from the
flower, he rubbed it between his thumb and forefinger, then held his hand out to Cass. “Just like
velvet. Wanna feel it on your skin?”
She eyed his offering a moment before nodding her head.
Seth returned to her, snaking one arm around her waist as he stood behind her. His lips grazed her
bare neck, traveling from the base up to her ear. He placed a kiss just beneath the lobe.
“You're so beautiful,” he whispered.
The hand that held the rose petal was poised and ready at his side. He swept the crimson swath up
her upper thigh to her hip, then into the dip of her waist.
She sighed and said, “You're right. It does feel like velvet.”
His hand moved higher until he reached the underside of her plump breast. Dragging the petal upward,
caressing her skin, he slid it over her taut nipple.
Cass gasped. Her head fell back on his shoulder and her silky hair spilled over his bare chest. He
rubbed the rose over and around her nipple, teasing it.
“You like that?”
She gave a slight nod of her head. “Mm, yes. Very erotic.”
Seth’s hand slid down her body, sweeping over her flat stomach. Lower still until he reached the apex
between her legs. With the petal clasped between his thumb and forefinger, he slid it over her swollen
folds. He caressed her lips, eliciting a moan from deep in her throat. When she parted her legs further,
widening her stance, he rubbed the velvety swath over her clit.
“God, that feels good,” she whispered. “Just the slightest bit of friction, yet… it’s so soft. So
sensuous.”
Seth’s free hand cupped her breast and he toyed with her nipple as he continued to stroke her clit.
Her chest rose and fell in time with her rapid breaths.
Excitement danced through him, heightening his arousal. Just knowing he was turning her on,
pleasuring her, made Seth hot.
Her hand slipped between them and she rubbed his cock, which strained against the fly of his jeans for
the umpteenth time today.
“Don’t you want to be inside me, Seth?”
“More than you know, baby.”
